MyNetFone Closed on Australia Day... see you at the beach!

It's Australia Day tomorrow and we at MyNetFone will be getting into the 'Aussie spirit' - dusting off the barbie, heading to the park or the beach and having a beer!

MyNetFone office and Call Centre will be closed on Australia Day, 26th January 2011

Services restored to Queensland Exchanges

As Queensland is starting to recover from the devastating floods, we would like to confirm that MyNetFone services to the region have been restored at 18:35pm on the 12th January.

Most VoIP and DSL services should work for MyNetFone customers in this area, except where specific Exchanges have been flooded.

Our Team's thoughts are with the Queensland residents as they start to recover and rebuild.

Queensland flood update

It appears that with the rising flood waters more communications infrastructure is being affected. Our redundant links to Queensland have now both been affected meaning that some inbound voice (DID) services are now unavailable. So far outbound phone calls to Queensland are still working, as long as the destination exchange is still operating. Also our ADSL2+ customers in Queensland may be affected in areas where their local telephone exchange has been innundated.

We are working with our underlying infrastructure suppliers to restore those services affected, however early indications are that it may be a few days to get full recovery. We will keep our customers updated with our blog and twitter.

MyNetFone apologises for the disruption at such a critical time, and we wish all our customers well during this crisis.

Possible DSL service disruptions due to Queensland floods

Please note that the recent flooding affecting most of Queensland has caused large-scale service disruptions throughout this region and a large number of communication technicians from other areas have volunteered to collaborate with local technicians to work on restoring the services within the affected area.

These disruptions to the services of our broadband wholesale suppliers may have an adverse impact on MyNetFone’s broadband service delivery and fault restoration.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and we will do our best to deliver new broadband services with the least possible delay.
